The Legendary Ice Key[]
The Legendary Ice Key in Wozza's Cave
As everyone may know, you can unlock Dragon Kazooie in Banjo-Tooie. Everyone may also know that you need the Mega Glowbo to do so, and most people know where to get the Mega Glowbo, but few actually know how. The Mega Glowbo is found inside the Ice Door, in Hailfire Peaks Icy Side, which requires the Ice Key. In the Nintendo 64 version of the game, the Ice Key is actually found in a pretty simple spot. While in Jinjo Village, go to the sandy area, jump up on the rock, and Grip Grab onto the ledge there. Climb over to the right, avoiding the monsters, and climb up onto the ledge at the end. When you enter the room, you'll see a B-K Cartridge running around like a maniac. Smash it with a well aimed Rat-a-Tat Rap, and collect the Ice Key. In the XBLA version of the game, you must own Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. Go into Banjo-Kazooie and go to Freezeezy Peak. You must first find the required number of Mumbo Tokens, then go to Mumbo Jumbo's Skull and transform into the Walrus. Wander around until you find another Walrus, he will introduce himself as Wozza and invite you into his cave. Once he goes inside, go back to Mumbo's Skull and transform back into Banjo and Kazooie. Return to Wozza's Cave, he'll say some stuff about not hurting him, but he won't actually do anything to you. There will be a hole above the ground in his main room, jump up there and go in. A fanfare will play, announcing the Legendary Ice Key. Collect the key, and go back into Banjo-Tooie, where you now have the Ice Key. Once you have the key, in either Nintendo 64 or XBLA, go to Glitter Gulch Mine and go to the Waterfall Cavern. Dive down into the water and go through the small opening. You will then appear in Hailfire Peaks Icy Side in a cave that you can see from the Icy Side, but you can only reach through Glitter Gulch Mine. In this room is the Legendary Ice Door. Step up to the door, interact with it, the key will float above you, go into the lock, and the door will open, revealing the Legendary Mega Glowbo (I'm not sure why everything is so legendary). Collect the Mega Glowbo, then head to Pine Grove. Enter Humba Wumba's Wigwam and give her the Mega Glowbo. You don't have to think about keeping it for anything else, it is only useable by Wumba. After she has it, jump into the pool. Banjo, Kazooie, and Wumba will talk for a bit, and then you will have Dragon Kazooie! See the Dragon Kazooie page for more details.
