Banjo's StoryEditBanjo is a friendly honey bear who lives in Spiral Mountain with his sister Tooty, who does not actually appear in Banjo-Tooie, and his friend Kazooie, who is a red-crested breegull. Grunty's Lair is also in Spiral Mountain, but after Banjo-Kazooie, is now the home of Cheato, Grunty's spellbook. Some would say that Banjo and Kazooie are an odd pair, because of their completely opposite personalities. Kazooie insults most people she and Banjo meet, and Banjo almost never does. Banjo only taunts someone on one occasion, and yet he apologizes. Before Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo was constantly bothered by Kazooie to go on an adventure, but Banjo is a bit lazier than Kazooie, and thinks otherwise. Also, Banjo and Kazooie are often the only characters to reference their previous game. Some find this a bit strange, because most video game characters are not aware that they are in a video game.,
- Banjo appears in a number of games. Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Banjo-Pilot, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Diddy Kong Racing, and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. I'm not sure why they appear in a Sega racing game, as Rareware mostly worked with Nintendo and Microsoft.
- Banjo's sister, Tooty, was originally going to be named Piccolo and was supposed to be Banjo's girlfriend. Also, at the end of the game, Grunty's randomly fired spell was supposed to hit Banjo, and "Piccolo" would have to take him to Mumbo to be cured. The game was changed for unclear reasons.
